The 2020 race season was set to kick off this weekend with the Bob Hampshire Classic for the Ti22 Performance - FAST on Dirt Series. The entire country is effectively shut down in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Waynesfield Raceway Park and tour officials have been forced to cancel the doubleheader opener that included the BOSS non wing sprint cars as well. Track promoter, Shane Helms, has indicated an interest in adding a make-up date to the schedule in the fall to help recover this event.
The second FAST tour event was scheduled for Saturday, April 4th at Atomic Speedway just south of Chillicothe, Ohio. Track promoter, Brad McCown, has indicated that event will also be cancelled. We are already discussing adding a fall event to replace it, so watch for an announcement in the next few weeks.
We encourage everyone to stay as safe as possible. Follow CDC, WHO, and your state guidelines to help stop the spread of the virus. We hope to see everyone at a race track soon.
