FAST series get back to action at Attica, Fremont

FREMONT, Ohio – As the season races past the half-way point, the battles for the coveted All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads FAST 410 Championship Series presented by Ohio Logistics and the JLH General Contractor FAST 305 Championship Series Presented by Engine Pro will heat up with a big double-header weekend.
It all kicks off Friday, July 20 at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio on Central Ohio Farmers/Smith Family Foods/True Alpha Wealth Management Night with both the FAST 410 and 305 sprints in action. The 410 sprints will battle for $3,000 to win while the 305 sprints will vie for $1,000 to win thanks to Griff’s Engines of Sandusky, Ohio.
Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio will host the FAST 410 sprints on Kear’s Speed Shop Throw Back Night. The 410 sprints will battle for $3,000 to win. Also, fans are encouraged to wear their oldest racing t-shirts!
Going into the weekend, two time series champion Craig Mintz of Gibsonburg, Ohio maintains a significant lead thanks to four straight wins at Fremont Speedway where he also leads the track’s standings. Mintz is fifth in Attica’s points.
Fellow Gibsonburg resident Stuart Brubaker, a former FAST 305 champion, sits second in the 410 series points and has a FAST win at Attica. Brubaker is second in both Attica and Fremont points.
Republic, Ohio’s Cap Henry is third in the FAST 410 points and has a series win at Attica this season while leading the track points. He is sixth in Fremont’s points.
Sandusky, Ohio’s Chris Andrews has come on strong as of late with back-to-back FAST wins at Fremont. While fourth in the FAST points, he is sixth in Attica’s points and third in Fremont’s standings.
Tyler Gunn of Napoleon, Ohio has really come on strong as late as well, moving into fifth in the FAST standings. T.J. Michael of Plano, Texas is another driver who has come alive the past month and is sixth in the series standings. Rounding out the top 10 are defending FAST champion D.J. Foos; Duane Zablocki; 2016 FAST rookie of the year Jess Stiger; and 2018 FAST rookie of the year contender Kelsey Ivy.
Fremont, Ohio’s Jamie Miller has a significant lead in the FAST 305 standings thanks to a stretch last month that saw him take four straight series wins. His three wins at Fremont Speedway in 2018 have him seventh in the track’s points while he is 13th in Attica’s standings having missed a night of competition.
Fremont’s John Ivy, who scored the FAST win at Waynesfield Raceway Park earlier in the month, sits second in the series standings. He leads Fremont’s points and is seventh in Attica’s standings.
Brandon Moore’s consistent finishes have him third in the FAST standings while he sits tied for second in Attica’s points and fifth in Fremont’s points
Fourth in the FAST points is Tyler Street who is knocking on the door of his first win. Street is ninth in Fremont’s points and 10th in Attica’s standings.
Another driver who is getting closer to his first sprint car win is Kyle Peters of Mansfield, Ohio. He is fifth in the FAST standings while sitting 7th at Attica and 11th at Fremont.
The rest of the top 10 in the FAST 305 standings are: 6. Kyle Capodice who is tied for second in Attica’s points and is third in Fremont’s standings; 7. Seth Schneider who is fourth in Fremont’s points and ninth in Attica’s points; 8. Bobby Clark, the 2015 FAST champion, who has a series win at Fremont and is fifth in Attica’s points and sixth at Fremont; 9. Matt Lucius who is eighth at Attica and 13th at Fremont; and 10. Dustin Rall who is 15th at Attica and 16th at Fremont.
